Deb has been a hair stylist and salon co-owner in Bend, Oregon for the last 11 years. Her salon, Headlines, is in the heart of Bend, on Newport Ave.

“I work with 9 amazing people: 6 hair stylists, 2 manicurists and an esthetician. We have a beautiful, professional atmosphere.  When you walk in you will be greeted by our receptionist and offered water, tea, wine or beer.  Everyone is so friendly. You will immediately feel at home.”

Originally from Santa Cruz California, Deb and her husband Don moved to Bend 35 years ago. A few years later, their first born son Justin came along, and shortly after, daughter Marie, who has a 3 year old daughter Ava.

Don owns Bend River Window and Door, where their son Justin (a graduate of the University of Oregon) also works.

Deb loves her life, her hair salon business, her husband and family. She says, “I am so fortunate to have such a great husband, children and a career that I love.”

Personal growth and communication skills are constant goals of Deb and Don, being involved in the Wing’s seminars in Eugene. Also involved in a book club with other couples, their goal this year is to read Eckart Tolles, New Earth.

Deb also volunteers at Saint Charles Hospital, and is a Reiki Practitioner. “I believe in bringing a positive attitude to my work and being grateful as a practice in my life.”

After encountering a major health issue last year, Deb is building her clientele again. “I have learned so much about not wasting a minute and I would love you to come to our beautiful shop.”
